A Daydream As A Few Steps
Written by Harley, one of our poetry writers, and edited by Seb, one of our editors!
you told me that saying that you made me feel electric wasn’t enough
so
picture this: i am standing on l’enfant plaza station with a can of monster in my hand and i see
you
in your 6’5 tall gangly glory stepping off the train from the navy yard
and
i watch as you and your backpack, as big as your entire chest, rush towards
me
and we collapse into laughter. i don’t want to write a poem about us on the moon because
right
now i want us there. for a teenage boy to walk past us and smile and think i want this too right
now
