Interlude with Super Frog
Written by Carmen X, one of our poetry writers, and edited by Lilah, one of our editors!
Try not to worry about it too much, the frog said, every branch in a family tree, every single one, stops at a closed door. Mixing metaphors there, I told the frog. But okay, so then what? The frog made a silly croak noise. So then just keep knocking. Or don’t. Opening up’s a choice. Then into the pond the frog leaped and splashed, dropping the poet’s brush, and later saving all of Tokyo.
