Time Goes On: Ice Cream Melts
Written by Okezie, one of our poetry writers, and edited by Kate, one of our editors!
Ice cream for two every evening;
Plain vanilla, flavored by our conversation,
That’s how it used to be:
Unfunny jokes that made us laugh,
Every-day stories we would never forget
That’s how I thought it would always be:
Time passed and you stopped laughing;
You forgot me and how it used to be:
As my ice cream melted.
