Warning Sign For Hopeful Angels
Written by Willow, one of our poetry writers, and edited by Udita, one of our editors!
Trust me when I say
the road to the Elysian Plains
is another murderous contender
your own kin are seraphic naysayers,
a fickle omen to ignore in concealed agony
Why be a masterful casualty?
Damn yourself to the sea
of expectant fires instead-
do not disturb those rookie angels
or teach them about optimistic constellations
To Elpis, erase my superfluous existence
& pursue your forgetful ambitions
the world is rife with elegies
for loud dreamers
